Mandolins in the Moonlight

"Mandolins in the Moonlight" is the title of a wonderful Spanish Waltz that was composed for mandolin orchestra by Milwaukeean Howard Weeks in 1945. It is also the title cut of the first recording by the Milwaukee Mandolin Orchestra.

We wanted to record the CD while we still had members or the MMO who had held the Orchestra together since the 1930s. That mission was the first part of the project that we accomplished.

The next priority was to offer samples of the best music from the American Mandolin Orchestra era that let our fans share all the love that we feel for the music. With some great vocals and a lovely, representative collection of tunes we think you'll agree that this recording is quite a wonderful and timely achievement.
